Edgefield is a mix of the adult visual novel, dating sim and point-and-click adventure genres with a wide and colorful cast of characters to meet, befriend, and romance (in fully animated scenes) as you make your way through your freshman year at Edgefield University. Whether you choose to play as a male or female protagonist, you’ll have the freedom to pursue relationships with characters of any gender, with a goal of making this a deeply personal and inclusive experience.
*ML/AI is used as a tool to assist with some of the art while other art is done completely by hand. No other areas of the game are made using ML/AI.

Who Are We
Gopher (Lead Dev / Artist) - I’ve worked as a game dev for years and have made a lot of games. I've always had a sort of quiet passion for adult games, but this is my first time making one.
Dr. Bird (Writer, She/Her) - Hi! I've been writing professionally for a while now, and am a long time lover of fan-fiction and graphic novels. When Gopher approached me about working on Edgefield I was most excited about the inclusion of a female lead character. That is something I think is HEAVILY missing from the AVN genre, and I am just the gal to fill that hole.

All i gotta say is that the animation has been the best I've ever seen! I dont think anyone else has put in as much work as you have. My jaw was dropped from the opening credits animation. You deserve an award for that

I'm playing the public release, and after the initial burst of intros there doesn't seem to be anything to do besides meet a rare random person... Why introduce the dining hall or theater if no one's ever there? I've only got the one class per week? The game told me to explore the town but only four locations are available on the map and the list has a bunch of locked tasks. Am I missing something, or do I need to unlock content somehow? The art is pretty and I like having a female MC, but it feels dull that there's nothing going on and I can't really go anywhere. Advancing time by hand and going to bed early should be rare events, not necessary when the game is trying to impress a new player.
The game is still in it's starting progress so there's not a lot to do yet in the game. Check the dev logs for the updates. I also have a fem mc and i can't wait for more updates and flirt with Trent.
Thanks for letting me know! I really enjoyed hooking up with the two people who answered on the app, and think that is a great direction for a repeatable "side quest" system (especially if the MC could reliably arrange a hook-up any time of day). My feedback is to focus on having lots of characters around, because that's what college should feel like. I'll have to check back in when the Jun update hits!

You're right, it's a very sad game. Literally to meet someone in the hallway you have to run around all day and constantly check completely empty areas. One hour a week is really funny for university life. There are no sex scenes, it's a lot about talking, play The Fixer instead, you can also go to school there, or around the city and you experience much more adult scenes than in Edgefield when they add one or two sex scenes that you get after many hours of playing.

I'm not sure if there isn't much content in the game currently or if my game is broken because i haven't had a single new interaction since a study night, all I've been able to do is work, study, and take the test. I've bought all the decorations i can but i cant place anymore. There also hasn't been any opportunities to see any of the other characters. I only see the diner girl, the purple hair guy, teacher, and the mail room guy.

Can you explain why there's a warning when you try to download the game now? I played the last update and loved it but I'm kind of hesitant to download the new update while there's a warning.
It's probably one of the standard warning you get with most downloads from the internet. It's just you computer being extra safe.
No. Before you download itch.io says that Edgefield has been flagged because the owner of the page's suspicious activity or something like that.
Same for me,I was going to download and try the game,but the Itch.io warning make me to think about downloading it or not...for now,I think I will not to download.

The writing is genuinely AMAZING and I think that in the final version the gameplay would be quite nice to go through. Only thing I really really dislike is the AI slop, any plans on getting an actual artist to work on that for the final release? Other than that I really hope the game comes out soon because the AVN genre really needs something with good writing and characters that are not just glorified sex machines

I downloaded the public update with the the HookUp App, but nothing new showed up in game (other than Peter mentioning it). No icon on the phone to access the app or anything... On Linux, if that's a factor.
The hookup app content is available the day after your phone call with Val! Get in bed in the evening and it will trigger.
Is there a guide to the trading card locations, even if it's just the general areas that each one is in?

how do u do the job at the burger place? i dont get it.
its super simple, just follow the instructions on the menu and click/tap on the ingredients in the correct order. if it says #1 open the menu card (top right) and click on the ingredients in that case (bottom bun, patty, pickles, salad and top bun and press/tap the bell before the time runs out and if it says no pickles you need to skip that obviously...

I'm confuse is Jane and Jesse a combine romance route or are they separate because there people that prefer either lesbian, straight, bisexual, or gay routes when playing female or male MC.
Good question. I hope we get to romance them seperately. I really like Jesse, but I'm not so keen on Jane.

You got a reply on the app? How? Literally nothing happens when I try to use it.
You have to wait an in-game day or two after viewing every profile to get a reply from one of the two characters. (You also, obviously, have to select to match with them. Matching or not with any of the other profiles doesn't do anything yet)
Please move away from Mega, Mediafire or some others please, at some point it will just get annoying or stopping with Mega

You need to touch the table in your room and do the study option, it's best to do it every morning when you wake up or in the night before you sleep. I think 5 or 6 something times before your fully ready for the exam
