Our first release dropped Friday, March 14th at 8pm ET for Patreon subs.

Edgefield is a mix of the adult visual novel, dating sim and point-and-click adventure genres with a wide and colorful cast of characters to meet, befriend, and romance (in fully animated scenes) as you make your way through your freshman year at Edgefield University. Whether you choose to play as a male or female protagonist, you’ll have the freedom to pursue relationships with characters of any gender, with a goal of making this a deeply personal and inclusive experience.
*ML/AI is used as a tool to assist with some of the art while other art is done completely by hand. No other areas of the game are made using ML/AI.
The Story (So Far)
So, here’s the setup: You’re 18 years old and on your way to Edgefield University, an expensive, prestigious school you’re honestly kinda shocked you got into. You’re interested in photography, but are undecided on what you’re going to study. On your ride there, you’re accompanied by your dad, his new gf, Sasha and her daughter, Emma.
Once you arrive, you move into your dorm room and meet your new floormates. You can choose to flirt or make friends with any and all of them — totally up to you. We want to give you total freedom in who you pursue without locking you out of content if you’re not into a specific character. Everything is optional.
Who Are We
Gopher (Lead Dev / Artist) - I’ve worked as a game dev for years and have made a lot of games. I've always had a sort of quiet passion for adult games, but this is my first time making one.
Dr. Bird (Writer, She/Her) - Hi! I've been writing professionally for a while now, and am a long time lover of fan-fiction and graphic novels. When Gopher approached me about working on Edgefield I was most excited about the inclusion of a female lead character. That is something I think is HEAVILY missing from the AVN genre, and I am just the gal to fill that hole.

- Emma - Sasha's daughter. Does not like you. In her Junior year at Edgefield.
- Theo - Intelligent and encouraging. Future president (probably). Studying Political Science.
- Peter – Horny class clown. Always joking. Studying Music Theory.
- Quinn – Chill skater girl. Gives you shit, but in a fun way. Undecided Major.
- Penelope – Shy gamer. Loves anime. Classic. Studying Game Design.
- Jun – Cheerful goth. Artsy and open-minded. Studying Fine Art.
- Victoria – Influencer. Model. Cam-girl. Studying Economics.
- Jada – History buff. Into archaeology and local myths and legends. Studying History.
- Lucia – Sweet, bookish, and probably too pure for this group. Studying Biology.
- Sunny – Giant nerd. Total sweetheart. Knows computers inside out. Studying Computer Science
- Kerry – Confident film geek. Big horror movie fan. Studying Filmmaking.
- Trent – Football player. Jock with a surprising soft side. Studying Business.
- Edmund – Romantic English exchange student. Poet type. Studying literature.
Gameplay Systems
(Not all gameplay mechanics listed are in the first release)
Open World, Sandbox Map - We want Edgefield to feel like a place you can actually explore. Plenty of locations, random encounters, characters with daily schedules, that kind of thing.
Romantic / Friendship Routes - Every major character has their own story arc with either a Romantic or Friendship route and you’re able to change your mind about which of these relationships you want with each of them.
Room Customization - You'll have your own dorm room and will be able to deck it out however you like. Posters, furniture, weird junk you collect after completing quests — it'll feel like your space.
Booty Call Mechanic - If you hit it off with someone, you'll eventually be able to invite them over for some late-night fun. Gotta build up that relationship first, though. This will serve as one of the ways to view repeatable sex scenes.
Jobs (For Money) - We’re planning some part-time job options that let you earn cash / meet new people around town.
Studying (For Grades) *Still workshopping this idea* - Tests happen every 7 in-game days. You’ll need to study a few times each week to keep your grades up. Studying is just a quick 3-second montage or something (no player input needed) that progresses the in-game time by one.
You’ll have 21 time slots per week, and maybe 3-5 of those will need to go toward studying if you want to keep your grades up. Passing tests comes with perks, but failing won’t ruin your game — you'll just have a different experience.
Eventually there will be ways to study more efficiently (meaning you’ll be able to study less per week), and ways to get away without studying at all. This is meant to be a fun resource management system, but not something that is overly burdensome.
Phone (For Nudes) - A cell phone with a contacts menu, texting, a photo gallery and blah blah blah etc. It’s a phone.
Collectible Trading Cards - Hot trading cards hidden around campus. Because who doesn’t love monster girls.

The first release is basically "Day One" at Edgefield — finding your room, making friends, figuring out who you’re interested in and seeing what this whole college thing is about. It’s about laying the groundwork for a lot more drama, romance, and horny shit down the line. We’re planning regular content updates after launch with more story progression, updates to gameplay mechanics and obviously more animations.

Looks very cool. Could be the beginning of a great game.
Now I'm usually for prioritizing the main story so I can play the story to completion first and explore all the additional content later. But seeing MC sleep in what looks like street clothing and not going to do basic hygiene before going to bed just felt .... wrong. :)

I'm a bit confused. Everyone seems to be talking about a lot of stuff like party and cards etc. For me the game gave a pop up message saying that's all for now after the first night where you dream of Emma.

No I have no issues with your future plans or how long future releases may take. It's a very promising game and I do hope you guys make it as perfectly as you envision it.
But the current version just drops you off so randomly that you can't help but feel like you missed out on something perhaps. That's mostly what I was referring to when I said the current update doesn't give a clear idea of how much content is there.
The current version, that is available on all platforms is V0.1.1. When the next major update is released, it will be available to Patreon subs first and then to everyone else sometime after that.

I agree I'm really interessted, while I would love a new update soon, please try to make it right and take your time, get feedback if you need to.
One thing I can image right now is, it would be bad if the characters ignore each other once your in a route.
This might be only a visual novel thing, but sometimes once you enter a character route, half of them just don't appear anymore.
Also if this should have any relevance, let them aknowledge a rleationship.
Just ignore what will be impossible I might be mixing up things that I have seen here and there right now.
I hope you can at least feel my excitement.

It'll be more of a straight/gay to bi conversion. All of the characters are technically bi because you can romance them regardless of your MC's gender, but we wanted some of them to be present themselves one way when you meet them and then become open to exploring their sexuality as you get to know them. So it's really more discovery than conversion <33
Will there also any muscle guys? I feel like the female characters are much hotter than the male ones, and as a gay player I love how vibrant and "disneyfied" everything looks - but I don't find any of the male characters particularly attractive, except for the Dad & the cute guy in the flip flops and bare feet. Doesn't have to be a jock, can be a loveable piece of meat. uwu

This is probably a good bit of extra work - but all these trans/femboy characters etc should hopefully have a toggle that makes them cis/normal. If the characters are stuck as trans, a lot of players may avoid them and they're wasted content. If it's toggleable for them to be cis, this may be more work for rendering but makes those characters no longer wasted.
Thanks for the suggestion! But there won't be any options based around whether an npc is trans. They either will be or won't be. The player can decide whether they're interested in any of the characters, but we don't view that as wasted content. <3

I have been created account for only leave a comment for this game because game was very good and including more potential then being only visual novel. In my opinion this game can be Sims 4 and you already add many things to make not only novel. I just wanted to share my opinion with you maybe you will like maybe you will not but thanks for your effort. These Thinks like active MPCs , clothing , body , money , active relations , autonym for sex and gameplay.
Firstly Npcs can go party or randomly ringing your door and want's to come to you or maybe the going to contact with you they can go gym yoga or camping and they can send invite to us or they can make communicate for these things.
Secondly I think we can buy clothes like new jeans clothes crops pants, shorts and according to our clothes Npcs attitude can be change for examples if we are wearing sexy tight they can talk with us more spicy.
Thirdly in this game we can do something for our body fit body more sexy then the other also in gym or during yoga training we can find more sexy and hot time.
Fourthly we can work somewhere coffee or another works for make money and also with this money we can do something like buying a house or maybe renting a house. We can agree with an npc and we can pay rent together. And also we can spend our money for buying a new phone ( because our have been broken).
Fifthly I think we should talk about another thing and we can increase our friendly or sexual relation ships with others ( not only yes we are going to sex or not) gossiping talking about daily think , faction , movies etc.
Sixthly when we go another place like others room maybe they are fingering her self or playing with their cocks. We can watch then and we have to options like stopping that or attending enjoy or starting masturbate (in this choice maybe have to including realising from the another NPC and when he or she realise us something can be happen or leaving place or taking photo and masturbate later or selling photos. And click and skip part is not good we have see our positions and when position will change you can add more speech. I think we have to arrange smth from phone like invite room or coffee or yoga class.
In conclusion part I know maybe you are not a big crew for the make all these thinks or maybe you have opportunities but your aim is not making game like what I mentioned before. Though game in generally good if you going to make these thinks it will be best game for the simulations. Of course I am not adding smth voice or these sort of things. If you going to do like I said I am going to buy this game even price can be 40$.I believe you and this game is already in my wishlist. In generally everything is good I can't wait the release date. On the harem side, if I reject a character and become friends, will the romance option keep coming up to switch routes ? Because it's a pet pieve of mine when I reject a character and they don't stop flirting/trying to have sex with me. NO MEANS NO
The characters who would initiate flirting with you will stop if you don't reciprocate after a few attempts! You'll still have the option to flirt with them though :D
I was craving more already when the pop up came to say its the end. Its so good, i love these kinds of games when they have comedy and references (prepare for trouble) and all of Peters lil comments. Not to mention the art is some of the best i have seen and that is a huge aspect for me personally with these games. This is already on a fast track to be my favourite adult game.
